A Community Like No Other

This community shares a love of social and intellectual engagement. Our squash courts and billiards room are fun competitive outlets while our food and beverage offerings provide members with a welcoming place to gather. Throughout the year, the Club hosts lively social events, welcomes fascinating keynote speakers, and organizes outings that support the region’s top arts and philanthropic organizations.

The University Club of Denver is a community of individuals in the heart of the Mile High City with a shared enthusiasm for social, intellectual, and philanthropic engagement. Our members come from diverse backgrounds and display diverse interests, but are drawn together over three common themes:

For many members, our Club is a second home where they can relax, enjoy time with family and friends, meet new and interesting friends, and expand both their professional and social networks. Our squash courts and billiards room are fun competitive outlets while our food & beverage offerings provide members with their own personal "Cheers" - where everybody knows your name.
Intellectual curiosity and growth is at the core of our membership. Throughout the year, we welcome keynote speakers, many of whom are prominent leaders in our city, state, and nation, to engage the membership on a broad range of topics. Our members are known to enjoy spirited debates while constantly broadening our understanding of the world around us.
We love to socialize together. Denver's oldest tradition, Twelfth Night, is the longest-running live show in Denver and is celebrated across the region as one of the most anticipated performances of the year. In this production, our members showcase their talents (or lack of talents) on stage, in a fun and comical way. The four Twelfth Night performances each January are usually to a sold-out crowd. In addition, we host a lively annual calendar of social and family events as well as outings that support many of our region's top arts and philanthropic organizations, including Opera Colorado, The Denver Philharmonic Orchestra, the Colorado Ballet and the Nathan Yip Foundation.

The Admissions and Membership Committee, whose members are elected separately from the Board of Directors at the Club's Annual Meeting of the Membership, exists to review new member applications, welcome new members and engage existing members.

The Admissions and Membership Committee works to continually welcome new and diverse members into our club community. Our Club was founded on the premise of offering opportunities for social enjoyment and well-being to our members and to the greater Denver community. We remain committed to that purpose today.

Once you have submitted your application, you will be contacted by a member of the Admissions and Membership Committee who can explain the process further. To apply, candidates must be sponsored by a current member of the Club and must submit two additional Letters of Recommendation from Club members.
